Recently rennovated in 2019, the Hood Museum is part of Dartmouth College and houses some of the oldest and largest collections of art for any college or university, boasting 65,000 objects in their care. The American Alliance of Museums calls the Hood a ‘national model’ for other colleges and university museums.
Dartmouth students can learn about art with original pieces spanning six continents and different artistic backgrounds like Native American, European, African, Asian, Melansian, and Aboriginal Australian.
The best part is the public benefits from the college’s wonderful collection as well.
