My top spot for a Yankee Swap gift or a special treat is My Brigadeiro. I was so excited to hear they moved to another location on Main Street and loved seeing their new menu items pop up on their Instagram. You can also see behind the scenes inside the new shop, and how they make things like frosting guava cheesecake, and piping rosettes on a cake.
Not Just Chocolates
This is not just an amazing chocolate shop. Did you know the store opens at 7? Grab breakfast to-go items: muffins, fruit salad, pastries, and more.
You can also enjoy a delicious lunch here. Ham and cheese panini anyone?

A Woman with a Vision
Paula Fernandes, owner and founder of My Brigadeiro, graciously offered to give us an inside scoop interview behind this wonderful business.

You were inspired based on love of cooking and entertaining, can you tell us a story or specifics about this?
Growing up in Brazil, we were taught by our mothers and grandmother how to cook brigadeiro chocolate. I was always mesmerized by culinary and loved to see how food creations developed in the kitchen, as well as the final product and presentation.

What’s your top selling product, good, event, or service?
It’s very hard to choose a top selling product at the new location, but I must say the cookies are flying off the trays faster than we can keep up. But it wouldn’t be fair not to mention the cakes and of course brigadeiros.

You can get your own custom cake. These ones really are inspiring and oh-so-cute! Seasame Street, Finding Nemo, Upper Valley Sophisticated Wedding Cake, and an oreo cake.
What’s your favorite product?
Brigadeiro chocolates are still my favorite treat! With 45 flavors to choose is kind of hard to pick one, but Noir ( dark chocolate) is my favorite of all!

You’d recommend:
We just gotta try… COXINHA – chicken croquet!A staple in Rio, where I was born. There is nothing like that anywhere. Perfect for lunch or afternoon treat!

Did you know they also have other fabulous and tantalizing menu items like mini cakes, pave de biscoito, mousses like passion fruit, and pastry bombs.

What’s a special moment / story about your business or organization you’d like to share (an accomplishment, a special customer experience or feedback, worker experience/culture, a new step in your business etc)?
Well, accomplishments I would say that after nine years of work, the vision of how I wanted the shop to exist has finally happened. Its so rewarding to watch people’s smiles as they enter the shop! The beauty of the shop, the varieties of desserts and especially the smell, together bring happiness to the customers and that ultimately gives me immeasurable feeling of happiness!

When you’re not working round the clock, what do you like to do for fun?
I love to take time for myself. Put my playlist on, seat on the porch with a hot cup of Joe and do absolutely nothing! Hiking with my friends. I also love entertaining them with delicious food! 🙂
Is there anything you’d like to tell us about how you’re being innovative to make things work during the pandemic? (For example curbside delivery, new products, new services, etc).
We are trying to implement curbside delivery. We also deliver everywhere in town.
You just moved onto a new location on Main St. You can tell us about this process, what you’re excited about, or your dreams for your business? Future plans?
As I mentioned above, the vision I had for My Brigadeiro is finally becoming a reality. I have high hopes for the business and plan on stretching down to New Hampshire and Mass in the next couple of years.
We’re excited to see what the future holds for My Brigadeiro and we’re so grateful that you share your dream and expertise with us so we can all have a little treat to lift us up now and again.

I love, love, love her brigadeiros!!! My favorite is Wicked Hot; I can eat a dozen of them!
I didn’t know she had a spicy one! I’m looking forward to trying more. What about an apple pie one? Can you have an apple pie chocolate?
