Eastman Golf Links. Grantham, NH. This course is set among beautiful views with a lake on site. The golf course has gone through renovations to give you the best golfing experience, including a complete renovation of the clubhouse in 2016. Eastman was voted Best of the Best in the Valley News by locals in 2017 and 2018. It also received the rare certification of Audubon Certified, one of four courses in NH to be recognized in this way. There’s a full restaurant on-site as well with excellent food. Hours: 8 am – 6 pm.
Hanover Country Club. Hanover, NH. A very challenging course with great conditions, owned by Dartmouth College. Golf among streams, forests, and hills. There’s even a map with suggestions on how to play the hole! Hours: 7 am – 6 pm, 7 days.
Woodstock Resort. Woodstock, VT. This course is considered top three courses in New England on Golf Advisor and one of top 100 in the world by Golf Magazine. There are panoramic views of Kedron Valley and many natural features. Hours: 7 am – 6 pm, 7 days.
Lake Morey Resort and Country Club. Fairlee, VT. A course with a flat front 9 and rolling back 9, according to its website. Lake Morey has a great staff and the course is well kept. A bonus is the food and beverage cart that makes its way around the course throughout the day.
Montague Golf Course. Randolph, VT. Great service, excellent food, and well maintained greens. This is the second oldest course in Vermont. Reviewers say it is both beautiful and challenging. Hours: 7 am – dark
4×4 Mt. Golf. Sharon, VT. Not your traditional golf. Walk or ride your 4 x 4 along logging roads between holes. Take your time. No dress code. Bring a beverage, stop for lunch. This is the ultimate relaxed golfing experience in nature. Golf through meadows, apple orchards, and woodsy trails. Modified rules for fun play, which you can read here. The most interesting one is you don’t use a putter on the green; you have to chip to hit the pin. A great activity for groups or parties. Add challenge and only use one club the whole time! Hours: 8 am – 8 pm, 7 days.

Carter Country Club. Lebanon, NH. A great small golf course with a friendly staff and beautiful views. People find the hills challenging. It also has two ponds. Carter Country Club is a must to try. It’s the only 9 hole course left in NH designed by famous golf course architect Donald Ross. Hours: 6 am – 8:45 pm, 7 days.

Montcalm Golf Course. Enfield, NH. Montcalm is a beautiful course built without a budget from an avid golfer’s dream. This golf course has a private country setting with a gorgeous clubhouse. It was voted top 10 new private courses in 2005 and one of the best in the state in 2007. They are welcoming new members and guests for a limited time. Hours: 7 am – 5:30 pm, 7 days.
Highland Golf Course. Quechee, VT. This course was named top ten in the state by Golf Digest. It is a pristine course that is well groomed. Reviewers say it is visually stunning, serene, and challenging. Hours: M-F. 6:30 am – 7:30 pm. Sat. and Sun. 6:30 am – 6 pm.

Crown Point Golf Course. Springfield, VT. This golf course has friendly staff, good food, and most importantly, a golf course in pristine condition, reviewers say. There’s a driving range, putting green, and five tee options. Locals love this course. Hours: 7 am – 6pm in the summer.
Green Mountain National Golf Course. Killington, VT. This course has one of the best layouts in Vermont and is well-maintained. Amazing views, beautiful course, and immaculate fairways, reviewers say. Hours: Mon.-Thurs. 7:30 am -6:30 pm, Fri.-Sun. 7 am – 6 pm.
Owl’s News Resort and Golf Club. Thorton, NH. People love the scenic beauty of this course. Some say the course is in a bit of rough shape, but that they still had a wonderful time.

Claremont Country Club. Claremont, NH. Great service, good place to hold events, and reasonable rates. This course is challenging with lots of hills. Beautiful views of Mt. Ascutney and Green Mountain. No tee times required, but check for events. Hours: Mon. – Thurs. 9 am – 9 pm, Fri. 9 am – 10 pm. Sat. 8 am – 9 pm.
Oak Hill Golf Course. Meredith, NH. This is a public golf course that is great for all levels. There are stone walls and hidden greens. Hours: 7 am – 7 pm, 7 days.
Den Brae Golf Course. Sanbornton, NH This is a great course. Reviews included comments like fantastic, incredible, awesome, peaceful and beautiful The course is well maintained with and great food. Rates are reasonable, which a lot of people commented on the great value of the experience. Hours: Mon. – Fri. 8 am – 9 pm, Sat. and Sun. 7 am – 9 pm.
Country Club of New Hampshire (Previously Kearsarge Valley Golf). New London, NH. This is a course with a great layout and a variety of holes. Hours: 6:30 am – 7:30 pm, 7 days.
