Here are some fall specials at our local businesses. Fill me in if you’re a local business and you want me to add in your fall special.
You Gotta Try The Fall Monster at the Skinny Pancake in Quechee.
This crepe sounds delicious! Marshmallows, Vermont organic sweet potatoes, Champlain Orchard’s appleces, housemade streusel, and apple pie spice. Will run until Oct. 8. Get it before it’s gone!
Enjoy Fall Flavors at the Baited Hook.
Relax on the lake with their marine themed decor. Can’t beat the view while you enjoy delicious ice cream like pumpkin, apple pie, and Dough Your Job (the official New England Patriots flavor: cookie dough and moose tracks.) Not into ice cream? How about homemade apple crisp with Patch Orchard apples and pumpkin rolls with pumpkin ice cream.
Check out Oktoberfest at Lou’s.
Lou’s will be rolling out their Oktoberfest menu soon. In the past fall flavors have included pumpkin whoopie pies, cider donuts and custard, pumpkin cupcakes, and more to delight your tastebuds. See their website for more updates and plan your next visit.
Relax and Sip at Silo.
Silo has fall cocktails, including warm and spiced drinks. They’re having a Fall Harvest Party on Oct. 1 from 5-8 pm. Reserve your spot. They have Maple Whiskey, maple pumpkin pie fall cocktail, and more. I love their chocolate vodka.
Smother on Some Sweetness with Blake Hill’s Preserves.
Always creating new and exciting flavors Blake Hill is amazing. Here are some of their fall flavors:
Tart Cherry With Cardamom & Port, Raspberry With Wild Bergamot Botanical Jam, Heirloom Apple with Maple Syrup Jam and more. Make sure to check out their Facebook for creative and fun recipes to make with the jam. I love all the local partnerships they do.

Maple Creamees at Mac’s Maple and load up on some other fall treats too while you’re there.
Jakes has a hot caramel apple cider drink. Yum! I just had their creme brulee as a steamer soooo good. Or try something with more of a kick and enjoy a fall beer at Salt Hill or Harpoon.
Kookiez.co out is working on a pumpkin cheesescake kookie! See all the yumminess here. Buy some cookies here.
Mont Vert Cafe recommends anything maple and bacon, or apple maple flavor for the fall. They’re menu looks amazing. I’ll try the Zesto, Oink and Cluck, Gobble it Up, Sage, Maplebrook Mozzarella. Oh man. I think I should just sample the whole menu.
Red Wagon Bakery in Canaan has pumkins to enjoy. One local suggested the brie with apples and the grilled cheese with onion jam, walnuts, and apples.
Billings Farm sells hot cider and donuts too. Also enjoy some pumpkin ice cream!
Of course pick some apples and enjoy cider donuts at many of these locations too: Places to Pick Apples.
