We have a few more weeks of crisp, cozy mornings and warm sunny afternoons. Let’s make the most of it before the bitter bite blows in.
Here are some fun day trips you can do. If you’re looking for more ideas, see my fall page.
My Top Fall Activity

My favorite fall activity is to go see the Plainfield Pumpkin People! It’s always an adventure and perfect to do regardless of the weather because it’s all driving around exploring in the car (great to take the kids too). You can check out the location of the pumpkin people on their annually updated map to choose the best route.
My Favorite Quentissential Fall Activity

It doesn’t feel like fall if we don’t go to Riverview Farm and pick some apples and a pumpkin. Sometimes we even indulge in some maple creamees. We love the horsedrawn wagon rides as well (not during covid).
My Favorite Way to Enjoy Fall

I love to take walks in the woods so this is my favorite way to enjoy fall: smelling the leaves, hearing their crunch, and admiring the array of colors.
This is Brookside Park in Grantham, which I highly recommend!
I also love fall festivals and can’t wait to go to some next year. I really enjoy the Warner Fall Festival and Harpoon fall festival.

Dear Joan,
So glad! I just learned last year you can take tours of the bell tower at Dartmouth, something I’m planning on writing about eventually, and I’ve lived here my whole life too! I’m excited to get ideas from you guys too to share. :0)
