The best times are 7:15 am, 1:15 pm, and 3:15 pm.
You can view them from the main terminal where passengers check in. There’s a picnic table on the left. It’s very loud if you’re near them when they take off, which might scare the kids. I liked to view them taking off with my son from more of a distance. Instead of turning right to go to the main terminal, continue straight towards the tower. There are more picnic tables and you can see the runway better. We got to see planes taking off and landing easily without the noise.
Fore-U has two mini golf courses for you to enjoy. It’s great fun for not a lot of money: adults $7, kids $5, under 3 free. They’re open 8 am – 10 pm.
You can choose from a ton of hand mixed soft serve flavors (I loved cherry and pina colada) at Fore-U ice cream, which opens at 11 or enjoy the famous maple creamee at Mac’s Maple in Plainfield, also open at 11 am.
