Rainy Day Fun in Windsor
Activity 1
Explore the history of machinery and see it in action.
Cost: Adults $8, Students $5, Children under 6 free, family $20
Hours: Daily 10am-5pm
Activity 2 (weekend only)
Head over down the road to the Old Constitution House and learn about life in the 1700s.
Cost: Adults $3, children free
Hours: Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Activity 3
The workers are friendly and will answer any of your questions while they work to create amazing art pieces. They’ll have on display the item they’re working on too. Definitely a cool experience! Make sure to see how pottery is made in the building next door.
Cost: Free
Hours: Glassblowing – Monday – Sunday: 10am – 5pm, Pottery – Monday – Friday: 10am – 3pm
Activity 4:
Sample cheese at the VT Farmstead Cheese Co and amazing jam at Blake Hill across the street. Even if it’s raining you should try a maple creamee at the Vt Farmstead Cheese Co. After sampling, buy your favorite to take home and remember the experience. I like the little sample jars at Blake Hill.
Activity 5
Lunch! Grab a tasty lunch at Harpoon. You can also take a tour and learn how the beer is made (even if you’re under 21)
Cost: $5 for the tour
Hours for the Tour: Friday: 5 – 7 pm, Saturday: 11 am – 5 pm, Sunday: 12 – 4 pm
