Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center

Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center in Quechee makes it an easy and fun experience.  The staff is helpful and friendly. I know I can’t wait to go back!

Learn to belay and bring a friend.  On your own, no problem, I was too.  You can boulder, which means rock climb up to a certain number of feet.

Hours:

Mon. – Fri. 3- 9 pm, Sat.- Sun. 12 – 5 pm

Cost:

Day Pass with Rentals: 13+ $20, 12 and under $15, No rentals: 13+ $18, 12 and under $13

Bouldering: $12 with rentals, $10 without

College Student: $12, Military: 50% off

They also offer class to learn how to climb outdoors.  And a league for climbers (they said it’s like a bowling league for climbers).  How fun!

River Valley Club

The River Valley Club in Lebanon offers open climbing hours and a certified belayer on staff if you need it.  Shoes and equipment are included in the price.  You can also boulder up to 4 ft. during club hours.  I went rock climbing there and the belayer was so patient and supportive (I’m a newbie and have like no upper body strength).  This is a great place to start rock climbing if you’ve never done it.
